Pisco Chile's Stunning Showcase of Nation's Spirit at Chile Wine Fest 2025 in New York City
Pisco Chile Showcases National Spirit at Wine Fest 2025
Pisco Chile left a remarkable impression at the recently held Chile Wine Fest 2025 in New York City. Organized by WINES OF CHILE, along with the support from ProChile, this event was a significant platform for celebrating the richness and variety of Chilean wines, spirits, and gastronomy. It attracted a diverse audience of importers, distributors, sommeliers, bartenders, media representatives, and general consumers, all gathered to appreciate the excellence of Chilean products.
Claudio Escobar, Manager of Pisco Chile, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, "Chile Wine Fest 2025 was an extraordinary platform to elevate pisco's profile among trade professionals in the U.S. The substantial turnout reflects the increasing interest in high-quality spirits with genuine origins and craftsmanship. As we look forward to 2026, we plan to invest further in the American market through the National Pisco Plan, in collaboration with WINES OF CHILE, to broaden Chile's visibility among both trade and consumer sectors.”
The festival provided attendees with a unique opportunity to delve into Chile’s national spirit through engaging activities that showcased pisco, a grape distillate crafted from the northern valleys lying between the Atacama Desert and Coquimbo. Guests at the event participated in both trade and consumer tastings, where they explored the Pisco Cocktail Bar and the Pisco Discovery Bar, featuring distinguished Chilean brands such as Pisco Capel, Alto del Carmen, Pisco Mulet, Control, Mistral, Pisco El Gobernador, Waqar, Black Heron, Bou Barroeta, ABA, Paitaná’s, Pisco Juliá, Wilüf, Bauzá, and Don Lorenzo. Renowned mixologists were on hand to create special cocktails that emphasized the versatility and aromatic complexity of pisco.
A centerpiece of the festival was the educational seminar titled "Pisco Seminar: Chile's National Spirit." This was led by Marcelo Arriagada, a two-time winner of the "Best Sommelier of Chile" award. During this seminar, attendees were taken on a sensory journey through pisco’s denomination of origin, artisanal distillation processes, and tasting techniques, painting a vivid picture of the terroir and craftsmanship of northern Chile.
Andrea Sapag, the Trade Commissioner of Chile in New York, remarked on the significance of the event, stating, "It’s fantastic to see Chile’s national spirit showcased alongside our best wines, caviar, and salmon. Pisco represents both tradition and innovation, symbolizing the quality and diversity that characterize Chile’s image on the global stage."
