As we step into 2026, it is my pleasure to extend heartfelt New Year’s greetings on behalf of Hibiya Kadan. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the continued support we have received throughout the past year. Despite facing challenges in the broader society, I am delighted to reflect on a year that provided us with a reassuring sense of progress. Having just celebrated our 75th anniversary, we are now on the runway to establish ourselves as a centennial company. We are beginning to see our efforts manifest into concrete branding beyond mere product offerings.
A Milestone in Sustainability
Last year marked a significant turning point for us, particularly in our commitment to environmental sustainability. In July, we became the first in the floral industry to receive Eco stage certification, and we also signed a comprehensive agreement with MPS Japan. These milestones clearly demonstrate our leadership in striving for a sustainable flower industry. Our efforts are a pledge to positively influence the entire supply chain, from upstream producers to downstream retailers.
Sustainability discussions can often become convoluted; however, we leverage our retail presence to communicate the stories behind sustainable flowers in a clear and appealing way. Our goal is to elevate the value of materials imbued with the producers' passion, thereby fostering a three-way circle of mutual benefits. We believe that creating such a cycle is our responsibility as a leading company.
