Transforming Lives Through Art: The Launch of 'BONBO STARS Epos Card'
In a groundbreaking move, the Marui Group, in collaboration with MAGO CREATION, is set to launch the 'BONBO STARS Epos Card' on December 19, 2025. This initiative aims to bring about a social transformation through the power of art, centering around an artist collective from Agbogbloshie, one of the world's largest electronic waste dumping grounds located near Accra, Ghana.
What is the 'BONBO STARS Epos Card'?
The 'BONBO STARS' project comes from the creative vision of artist Mako Nagasaka. It began as a powerful art initiative that seeks to uplift the talent of artists living in the slum of Agbogbloshie. This collective has successfully sold over 200 artworks across Japan, the U.S., and Europe, with 10% of the proceeds being returned directly to the artists. This funding allows them to invest in their futures, whether it be through education or building homes.
The Epos Card integrates this artistic endeavor by showcasing the works of four BONBO STARS artists on its card design. With each new card registration, 1,000 yen will be donated to MAGO CREATION. Furthermore, a portion of the points earned through card usage will also contribute to sustaining the activities of the BONBO STARS collective, enabling them to pursue their artistic journeys and bring their talents to a global audience.
Key Features of the Bonbo Stars Epos Card
1.
Support Upon Registration
When a user registers for the card, MAGO CREATION receives a donation of 1,000 yen, directly supporting the artists and their work.
2.
Ongoing Support Through Usage
Every time the card is used, a fraction of the accrued points—0.1% of the transaction amount—is passed on to MAGO CREATION, further fostering the artists' activities.
Alongside these features, newly registered users who spend over 100,000 yen within three months will receive a special bonus: a 300-piece jigsaw puzzle that features the artwork of BONBO STARS, complete with the artists' signatures. This exclusive item aims to cater to the fans of BONBO STARS and deepen their connection with the collective.
