DoGo Power Introduces Innovative Grid-Forming Energy Storage Systems for Global Applications
DoGo Power's New Energy Storage System
DoGo Power recently unveiled its cutting-edge portfolio of energy storage systems (ESS), specifically designed for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. This launch is a significant advancement in energy management technology, as all units are immediately available for global shipment. With the company’s proprietary 4S platform, which encompasses EMS (Energy Management System), PMS (Power Management System), BMS (Battery Management System), and PCS (Power Conversion System), DoGo Power aims to tackle persistent challenges in the energy sector, including high initial capital costs (CAPEX), installation complexities, rigid capacity design, and increasingly stringent grid regulations.
For commercial and industrial applications, the flagship 10-foot container with 1,672 MWh capacity integrates functionalities equivalent to six ESS units exceeding 260 kWh, along with a combinatorial cabinet, a grid-connected or island operation cabinet, and an isolation transformer. This innovative solution slashes initial CAPEX by $0.012 per watt-hour (US$/Wh) and decreases footprint by 35%, concurrently reducing labor costs and shortening project timelines by 5 to 7 days. When operating as a stand-alone microgrid, this product supports multiple energy sources and allows for seamless switching between grid-connected and island modes in under 20 milliseconds. Fine-tuned capacity options and compatibility with third-party inverters enable asset owners to accurately size systems and maximize the reuse of existing hardware.
Tailored for utility installations in remote locations or areas with space constraints, DoGo Power's all-in-one 10-foot energy storage system weighs less than 22 tons, effectively doubling viable project locations compared to traditional 20-foot containers. Multiple units can be grouped for maritime transport while occupying the same space as a standard 20-foot container, consequently lowering shipping costs. For terrestrial transport to sites with restricted access, individual 20-foot containers can be moved separately. The factory preconfiguration and quick-connect terminals simplify complex installation tasks at the site, and the dynamic C-rate architecture allows operators to implement a basic configuration of 2 hours, adding DC expansion cabinets to dynamically adjust C-rates as operational needs evolve.
Additionally, DoGo Power has successfully completed the delivery of a photovoltaic microgrid demonstration project with an energy storage system in Pagerungan Kecil, Indonesia. This area previously lacked access to the main electricity grid, leading to unstable supply and high electricity costs of $0.35 per kWh. Since the deployment of DoGo Power’s solution, electricity costs for over 3,000 local residents have plummeted by 81%. Over its lifespan, the system is projected to provide more than 26 million kWh of stable energy, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 22,000 tons.
In conclusion, DoGo Power's recent innovations in energy storage systems represent a crucial step towards more efficient and sustainable energy solutions in various applications, highlighting their commitment to addressing global energy challenges with advanced technology.
