Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo, operated by The Ascott Limited, a hospitality group with a footprint in over 40 countries, aims to elevate guests’ stays by offering immersive art experiences, making it a perfect host for this captivating event. The theme for this year's exhibition, "Fine Craftsmanship," showcases local art initiatives from various Ascott locations worldwide, spotlighting the exquisite Edo woodblock printing tradition in Japan.
This initiative, a collaboration with the Tokyo Takahashi Studio and the Tokyo Traditional Woodblock Print Cooperative, seeks to highlight the timeless beauty and meticulous techniques of Edo woodblock printing. Visitors will witness the exquisite reproduction of ukiyo-e and modern artworks created using these historical methods, each narrating stories that have transcended generations. Edo culture, already enjoying renewed attention, primarily due to popular media, will come alive through this showcase.
The exhibition will feature around 20 stunning works, prominently displaying scenes from the vicinity of Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo.
