Experience the Fusion of Nature and Sound at Meguro River Night Ambience
From September 4 to September 22, 2026, the Tokyo Sea Trip association invites you to a unique experience along the serene shores of the Meguro River at the
Meguro River Night Ambience. Central to this artistic initiative is the sound installation
KAZE — body by acclaimed artist
Ray Kunimoto. The installation features an innovative “sound sculpture” mounted on a boat that interacts with the evening breeze, transforming the air into a rich auditory landscape that resonates with the environment.
As the boat drifts along the river, the sound sculpture, which reacts to the wind, creates an immersive experience that intertwines urban life with the surrounding natural beauty. Attendees are encouraged to walk along the river, listen attentively, and immerse themselves in this artful performance. This project aims to evoke a deeper understanding of the often invisible connections between city life and the natural world.
Art Installation: KAZE — body
KAZE — body serves as a reflective materialization of the invisible forces that govern our environment, such as wind, gravity, and water flow. The installation comprises metal plates that vibrate and produce sound as they interact with the wind. This dynamic structure reflects not just the human body's interaction with energy but symbolizes the ever-moving essence of urban environments influenced by people, objects, and ideas.
As night envelops the Meguro River, the boat, with its metallic body, undulates across the water, bringing forth a soundscape that illuminates the hidden flows of the city. Visitors will find themselves experiencing a delightful harmony between sight and sound, awakening their senses to the essence of place.
