Perú Mucho Gusto Culinary Festival: A Feast for the Senses
The much-awaited
Perú Mucho Gusto Culinary Festival has officially made its mark as it prepares for its first-ever U.S. appearance in New York City, scheduled for
September 19-21, 2025 at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse. Organized by the
Commission for the Promotion of Perú for Exports and Tourism (
PROMPERÚ), this three-day event promises to immerse visitors in the rich culinary heritage of Peru.
With
14 renowned Peruvian restaurants participating, the festival is set to celebrate the vibrant flavors that have defined Peruvian cuisine globally. Visitors can look forward to indulging in iconic dishes such as
ceviche,
pollo a la brasa, and various traditional desserts, all symbolizing Peru's renowned gastronomic excellence.
According to
Diana Pita, PROMPERÚ's Economic and Commercial Counselor, "Bringing Perú Mucho Gusto to New York is an opportunity to celebrate our world-class cuisine and strengthen cultural ties between Peru and the United States." Attendees will be treated to a plethora of experiences that blend traditional Peruvian tastes with contemporary culinary innovations.

Throughout the festival, expect a fully immersive experience that includes live cooking demonstrations, cultural performances, and interactive tastings, bringing the diverse aspects of Peruvian gastronomy to life.
Cooking Shows and Masterclasses
Esteemed chefs will lead masterclasses, offering hands-on workshops where visitors can learn the techniques behind their favorite Peruvian dishes. Visitors will have the chance to interact directly with leading culinary figures like
Flavio Solórzano Álvarez, noted for his work on Andean superfoods, and
Javier Ángeles Berón, a prominent proponent of Peruvian cooking in the U.S. Their insights and stories will deepen attendees’ appreciation for the richness of Peru’s culinary landscape.
Superfoods and Artisanal Products
In addition to showcasing traditional cuisine, the festival will feature a
Superfoods Lifestyle Pavilion which highlights Peru's diverse agricultural offerings. Exhibitors like
Del Campo Foods and
Inca’s Food will present their innovative products, ranging from Andean grains to artisanal sauces, attracting health-conscious consumers interested in the nutritional power of superfoods.
Pisco Experience
