March of Dimes and Pampers® Award Nursing Scholarships to Six Dedicated Students

On May 15, 2025, March of Dimes, in partnership with Pampers®, announced the recipients of this year's Nursing Scholarships. These six exceptional nursing students have demonstrated a courageous commitment to advancing the health of mothers and babies across the United States. Each scholarship award winner received $10,000 to further their education and tackle the pressing maternal and infant health crisis in their communities.

Cindy Rahman, the President and CEO of March of Dimes, expressed her admiration for the dedication shown by these students. “I am continually inspired by those nurses who dedicate their careers to improving care for mothers and infants. These awardees represent the future of maternal and child health leaders who understand the challenges firsthand and are committed to ensuring families everywhere get a healthy start,” she stated.

The collaboration between March of Dimes and Pampers®, which has lasted over 25 years, aims to reduce preventable maternal and infant deaths in America. Alissa Fitzgibbons, Senior Director of Communications for PG Baby Care, emphasized the importance of nurturing the foundation of a healthy and happy mother to ensure that every baby experiences the best care possible.

The statistics reveal the urgency of this initiative: according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States stands as the most dangerous developed country for childbirth, with over 80% of pregnancy-related deaths deemed preventable. By supporting nursing students, March of Dimes and Pampers seek to empower future healthcare leaders in addressing these critical disparities in care.
