ChangAn Showcases Its Future Vision at Auto Shanghai 2025
ChangAn Automobile, a leader in intelligent and low-carbon mobility technologies, made waves at Auto Shanghai 2025, hosting a grand presentation under the theme "Together for a Smarter World." The event was attended by nearly 600 media representatives from around the world and over 500 partners, all gathered to explore a shared vision for the future.
On the first day of the expo, ChangAn held a series of high-profile press conferences and briefings, showcasing models under its three main brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR. Each brand displayed its unique strengths, with ChangAn officially announcing the pricing and specifications of the Q07, designed to offer a comfortable and stress-free driving experience. The DEEPAL brand, aimed at younger consumers, introduced the full-size SUV S09. Highlighting the event was the AVATR 06, which aims to redefine luxury electric vehicles with its advanced design and assisted driving technologies.
During the exhibition, media attendees participated in interactive demonstrations, such as a ride in the CHANG-AN E07 equipped with intelligent TH chassis. This experience featured synchronized leaf and snow-shaking movements in tune with music, showcasing ChangAn's digital SDA platform and advancements in intelligent perception. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with robotic dogs and humanoid robots, emphasizing the company's breakthroughs in intelligent technology across various application scenarios.
ChangAn also introduced its Intelligent TS Drive, Intelligent TY Cockpit, and BlueCore 3.0, elevating its intelligent features to new heights. In his keynote speech, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of ChangAn Automobile, announced that global sales in 2024 will increase by 34.2% to reach 2.684 million vehicles, including 735,000 new energy vehicles and 536,000 units sold internationally.
Li Mingcai, Executive Vice President of ChangAn, highlighted significant global milestones, including the opening of the company's first international NEV production facility in Thailand and the establishment of eight overseas production partnerships, achieving a capacity of 580,000 units. In 2024, ChangAn became one of China's top three automobile exporters, selling over 500,000 vehicles internationally and generating over $11 billion in revenue. The brand expanded into 20 new countries, now representing over 100 countries worldwide with 1,150 sales channels. "This year, we will complete the establishment of subsidiaries in the Middle East, Australia, and the UK, accelerating our activities in high-potential markets such as Europe, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia, aiming for over 10 regional business units by 2025," said Mr. Li.
ChangAn continues its pursuit of becoming a world-class brand, focusing heavily on technological innovations. Wang Xiaofei, Executive Vice President of ChangAn, communicated that the company has invested over 40 billion Yuan in three core areas of new energies over the past decade. Over the next ten years, ChangAn plans to invest more than 200 billion Yuan in future automotive technologies, expand its R&D team by 10,000 personnel, and develop intelligent automotive robots and flying cars, with flight tests scheduled for completion by the year's end.
Demonstrating its commitment to quality corporate development, ChangAn has integrated sustainability deeply into its strategy and operations. In April 2025, the company released its ESG Report 2024, outlining its initiatives in green ecosystems, product and service offerings, and community partnerships. In 2024, ChangAn expects to sell 735,000 new energy vehicles, reducing carbon emissions by 5.5 million tons over their lifecycle, equivalent to planting 10,000 hectares of trees, thus contributing to the development of a new low-carbon ecosystem through green transformations.
"Looking to the future, ChangAn will consistently advance our Vast Ocean Plan, enabling more users worldwide to access ChangAn's intelligent, high-quality, and efficient green products," said Li.
