On September 12, 2025, the Kofu Showa store will launch, alongside a new location in Yamato Koriyama, Nara Prefecture. The following week, the excitement continues with the opening of the Sakai and Izumi stores in Osaka Prefecture.

The Kofu Showa store is particularly noteworthy, as it will be the first Toys 'R' Us store in Yamanashi since the original store closed in January 2014. This return aims to reintroduce local families to the beloved brand and its offerings, specifically through the concurrent launch of Babies 'R' Us within the same location. The store will provide a vast selection of maternity and baby goods, including maternity wear, strollers, baby food, diapers, baby apparel, and an array of character-themed clothing.
