Event Details

The event will take place on Saturday, September 13th, from 5 PM to 9 PM at the T-MARKET Entrance Event Space located on the basement level 2 of Toranomon Hills Station Tower. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of carefully chosen sake from Akika Sake Brewery, paired with exquisite dishes from both Nonotori and Ooshima. This one-night-only event promises to showcase the harmonious blend of flavors that can be achieved when traditional yakitori meets premium organic sake.

Reservations Recommended

As there are limited seats available for the Makers Dinner, it is highly recommended to make a reservation by contacting Nonotori Gento at (03-6811-2311) located on the 4th floor of Toranomon Hills Station Tower.

A Fusion of Traditional and Organic

This collaboration highlights the fusion of Nonotori's traditional charcoal-grilled yakitori with carefully crafted pure rice sake from Akika Sake Brewery. The izakaya Ooshima, located within T-MARKET, has garnered attention for being a gathering spot for sake lovers and enthusiasts alike.

"Yakitori may seem simple, but it is an intricate art when you consider the different parts of the chicken. Combining it with organic sake opens up a whole new world of flavors,” shares Atsushi Nonami, the owner and head chef of Nonotori.

Shared Philosophy

At the core of this event lies a shared philosophy grounded in Japanese artisan skills, sustainability, and an unwavering respect for ingredients. Established in 1886, Akika Sake Brewery is nestled in the hills of Nose, Osaka, where they cultivate sake rice, Yamadanishiki, without the use of pesticides on their own managed rice fields. The pure rice sake brewed from just rice, koji, and water is a genuine reflection of its terroir.

By pairing their organic sake with charcoal-grilled yakitori, attendees can discover the newfound charm and flavors that organic sake introduces to this traditional dish.
