Tech Manage Corporation Partners with esse-sense Future Forum 2026

Tech Manage Corporation, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has announced its participation as a collaborative partner in the esse-sense Future Forum 2026. This two-day, invite-only business research conference is scheduled for September 16-17, 2026, at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, hosted by Essence Inc., a leading platform for research knowledge based in Onna Village, Okinawa.

At the conference, Tech Manage's CEO, Akiko Ono, will serve as a panelist in a discussion titled "Orchestrating Knowledge for Future Industry-Academia Collaboration," scheduled for September 16 at 2:30 PM. This session aims to explore how to bridge the gap between academia and industry, moving beyond traditional partnerships to include diverse stakeholders such as researchers, corporations, investors, and government entities, all centered around the creation of new industrial and social values.

The esse-sense Future Forum 2026 is themed "An Encounter with the Future – Orchestrating Knowledge for Industrial Creation" and will host approximately 1,000 attendees from various sectors, including around 200 researchers from universities and research institutions. Throughout two days, participants will engage in keynotes and panels, along with 24 specialized sessions spread across five venues, allowing them to encounter research knowledge prior to its transition into business ideas for their own organizations.

Insights from the Leaders

Akiko Ono, CEO of Tech Manage Corporation, emphasized the importance of connecting research results to societal needs. "For research outcomes to be effectively used by society, it’s essential to create opportunities for interactions among researchers, businesses, and societal interests. This connection should focus on the sensitivity to human experiences, which cannot be replaced even by AI-driven support systems. The forum represents a platform for discussing critical perspectives and human involvement necessary for effective industry-academic collaboration. We hope that the new interactions and dialogues we foster during this event lead to the creation of new industries."

Meanwhile, Yuya Nishimura, CEO of Essence Inc., highlighted how new industries emerge not just from exceptional technologies or individuals, but through a symphony of accumulated knowledge from researchers, practical execution from businesses, and investment from financiers, all converging in collaborative settings. This year’s theme aims to return to those foundational principles, with notable speakers including Dr. Patrick Noack from the Dubai Future Foundation and Prof. Sarah Pink, an expert in future anthropology.
