Japan Heart focuses on treating these conditions while also initiating technology transfer projects for pediatric cancer treatment starting in 2024.

The recent virtual event invited families of children supported by Japan Heart, including siblings of pediatric cancer patients who had undergone surgery and were currently undergoing chemotherapy. The online event featured a simultaneous broadcast from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, a base hospital in Cambodia previously linked with Japan Heart, and their Lao headquarters. Haruka Satomi, Manager of the Japan Heart Laos Office, shared: “Our pediatric cancer project has seen a gradual increase in the number of patients we can support. We aim to ensure that children and their families can face treatment with a positive mindset. This event was born from the desire to provide enjoyable and enlightening experiences during their long treatment journeys.”
