Circularix Boosts Recycled PET Production with New Facilities in Florida and Pennsylvania

Circularix Expands Recycled PET Production

Circularix, a prominent player in the production of food-grade recycled PET (rPET), has recently revealed a significant expansion in its operations with the introduction of a new facility in Ocala, Florida. This facility, which is slated to begin operations by the end of the first quarter of 2025, marks a pivotal advancement in the company’s effort to meet increasing market demands for high-quality recycled materials.

The Ocala plant mirrors Circularix's current production facility in Pennsylvania, which has been in operation since early 2023. Both facilities are equipped with the capacity to generate 55 million pounds of food-grade rPET pellets annually, effectively doubling Circularix’s production capabilities. This move aligns with the company’s mission to support sustainability initiatives within the packaging industry.

Jason Farahnik, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Circularix, emphasized the importance of this new venture, stating, "The completion of our Ocala facility represents a crucial step in our commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality recycled materials. This expansion aligns with our goal of helping companies achieve their sustainability objectives."

Additionally, Circularix has plans to augment the output of its Pennsylvania facility later this year, which is expected to triple its existing capacity, bringing the total production to an impressive 165 million pounds of rPET pellets annually.

This expansion is particularly timely as many beverage brands and consumer packaged goods companies are working diligently to boost the recycled content in their products to meet both voluntary targets and state regulations. With rising concerns about plastic waste and environmental sustainability, Circularix's increased production capabilities will be crucial in facilitating these companies to realize their sustainability goals and contribute to the cultivation of a sustainable plastic economy.

Beyond Florida and Pennsylvania, Circularix is strategically planning to set up additional recycling facilities across the United States, with future locations targeted for Texas and on the West Coast. This broader strategy underscores Circularix’s ambition to solidify its position as a significant entity in the domestic rPET market.
