Celebrating Children's Dreams: The Kyobashi Tsukiji Elementary School Tanabata Project Unfolds

This initiative is supported by KPP Group Holdings and the Higashi Ginza Area Management Association, contributing the washi strips for students to pen their dreams. Furthermore, the Tanabata decorations will be showcased at the Ginza Shochiku Square from July 18 to August 7, as part of an exhibition celebrating Tanabata tradition, deepening local engagements and school partnerships.

Aqua Star staff, including skilled illustrators, have previously engaged with the school's illustration and manga club, fostering creativity and dialogue to enrich their artistic endeavors. This interaction not only allows for a shared learning experience but also enhances the understanding of the creative process beyond traditional classroom settings.

Educational Significance of the Project


The driving force behind this collaborative project stems from the school's educational theme for the year, which emphasizes cultivating the ability to recognize new value. By working alongside professional creators, students are introduced to the nuances of expressing their aspirations visually while developing their imagination and creativity.

Insights from Participants


Dr. Tomioka from Kyobashi Tsukiji Elementary School expressed excitement about the collaboration. He noted, "With the support of KPP Group Holdings and the Higashi Ginza Area Management Association, we eagerly anticipate how the children’s aspirations will be brought to life during the Tanabata assembly. We aim to foster a nurturing environment for the children’s hearts through educational experiences."

Yamamoto from KPP Group commented, "As a paper specialty trading company, we have consistently organized past Tanabata events so that children can experience the joy of writing their dreams on our beautiful paper."

Representatives from Higashi Ginza Area Management Association highlighted the growth of the Tanabata event, stating: "This year marks the third edition of the exhibition, and we are thrilled to partner with Aqua Star to expand its reach further. We hope this project significantly enhances the students' learning experience."

Lastly, an illustrator from Aqua Star shared, "Connecting with local children has always been a dream of mine. We are grateful to the students for their wishes and look forward to showcasing their aspirations through our artwork."
