Samara Strycker Appointed as CFO of International Motors, LLC
International Motors, LLC, widely recognized for its innovative commercial vehicle solutions, announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of
Samara Strycker as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This transition follows the recent move of previous CFO,
Do Young (DY) Kim, to Scania Group.
Strycker, who has been integral to International’s finance team, previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Treasurer. During her tenure, she successfully managed post-merger finance integration, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and ensuring the alignment of best practices. Her extensive background also includes key roles at General Electric Healthcare, where she was the Regional Controller for the Americas and Assistant Controller. Strycker began her esteemed career in finance at
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP back in 1993, providing a strong foundation for her future roles.
Mathias Carlbaum, the President and CEO of International, articulated his confidence in Strycker's capabilities to lead the company into a digitally oriented future. "Samara has proven expertise in finance, accounting, and operational efficiency. These skills will help drive forward International's transformation into a solutions-led and digitally enabled company," he stated.
A Certified Public Accountant, Strycker holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from
Syracuse University. Beyond her role at International, she contributes her expertise as an independent director and chair of the audit committee at
Ducommun Incorporated. Moreover, Strycker champions women’s leadership through her sponsorship of the company's employee resource group focused on empowering women within the organization.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new position, Strycker remarked, "I am excited about and embrace the responsibility to assist in ushering in a new era of International, enabling our people to deliver greater value, and fostering growth of this highly capable organization."
She will officially assume her position on
February 1, 2025, reporting directly to Carlbaum and becoming part of the executive leadership team.
