Midea Group Breaks Financial Records in 2025



Midea Group has marked a historic financial milestone in the first half of 2025, achieving revenues exceeding 100 billion RMB in two consecutive quarters. The financial performance stands out with total revenues reaching an impressive 252 billion RMB, reflecting a 15.7% year-on-year increase. Furthermore, the company reported profits soaring to 26 billion RMB, a substantial rise of 25% compared to the previous year.

The growth trajectory in the domestic market, particularly in mainland China, is equally remarkable with revenues growing 14.2%. This signals Midea Group's strong market penetration within China. On an international scale, revenues surged by 17.7%, showcasing the company’s expanding influence in global markets. The Original Brand Manufacturing (OBM) operations have also contributed significantly, seeing an impressive increase of over 30% in e-commerce sales.

During this period, Midea completed the acquisition of Teka Group, further enhancing its portfolio and capabilities (excluding Teka's Russian subsidiary). The consumer segment (ToC) reported earnings of 167 billion RMB, growing 13.3%, while the business and industrial solutions segment (ToB) experienced an uptick of 20%.

Additionally, the emerging energies and industrial technology sectors reached revenues of 22 billion RMB, while smart building technology revenues soared to 19.5 billion RMB. Robotic and automation technologies also contributed a noteworthy 15.1 billion RMB.

Investment in research and development has been a significant focus for Midea, with expenditures totaling 8.8 billion RMB, marking a 14% increase in the first half of 2025. The company successfully secured over 5,500 new patents this year, placing it among the top 10 patent holders globally. Midea’s global footprint encompasses 38 R&D centers and 63 production plants, underscoring its leadership in smart manufacturing and digital transformation.

In terms of sustainability and governance performance, Midea Group consistently appears on Fortune China’s environmental, social, and governance impact lists, boasting an 'A' rating on the MSCI ESG 2025. The company has set a benchmark for sustainable manufacturing with 37 eco-friendly factories and 13 green supply chains, alongside 9 factories equipped with 5G technology and 6 designated as World Lighthouse factories. Recently, Midea's washing machine factory in Jingzhou, Hubei, earned certification from the World Records Certification Agency (WRCA) as the first smart factory globally recognized for excellence across multiple scenarios.

Globally recognized, Midea Group holds a strong position in the Fortune Global 500 list, ranked 246 in 2025 and placed 184 on Forbes Global 2000. These rankings illustrate the company’s robust global brand presence and market influence.
