The Quell Foundation Strengthens Leadership with Amber Chembars Meyerl
The Quell Foundation has announced the appointment of Amber Chembars Meyerl as its new President, effective April 1, 2025. This decision was made unanimously by the Board of Directors during their quarterly meeting held in March, marking a significant step forward for the organization.
Amber has been an integral part of The Quell Foundation since April 2023, where she has served as Executive Director among other roles. Throughout her time with the foundation, she has shown unwavering commitment to its mission: reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness. Her work has been pivotal in promoting open dialogues about mental health and expanding pathways for support, education, and training.
Holding a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Community and Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Joseph's College of Maine (where she graduated summa cum laude), Amber’s academic background reflects her dedication to understanding and addressing mental health issues.
In her elevated role as President, Amber will take charge of all operational aspects of The Quell Foundation. She will provide strategic leadership while managing day-to-day operations. Among her numerous responsibilities will be the guidance of program development and collaborating with various stakeholders to further the foundation's initiatives.
Kevin M. Lynch, the Founder and Chair of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Amber’s abilities, stating, “Amber’s extensive experience and passion for our mission make her the ideal choice to lead The Quell Foundation into its next chapter. We are confident in her capability to foster growth and innovation as we work towards our goals.”
