Today, Edia Co., Ltd., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has officially started taking pre-orders for the physical version of their Nintendo Switch game, 'Kigetsu no Yoru'. The game, which will also be available on the Nintendo Switch Lite, is set to release on January 29, 2026.

Overview of 'Kigetsu no Yoru'

In the game, players assume the role of a modern high school student who is thrust back in time to a rural village during the early Showa period, finding themselves involved in a gruesome murder case. Players must navigate through the dark atmosphere and utilize time-leaping mechanics to survive and learn the truth behind the events that unfold. Through repeated experiences of death and re-living the same moments, gamers will unravel complex human relationships, the sinister motives of the true perpetrator, and the deeply entrenched traditions of the village.

As players engage with the storyline, they will uncover secrets and hidden layers of meaning that impact their journey towards survival. The ultimate question remains: when the moonlit night of dread passes, will the protagonist face hope or despair?
