HiTHIUM Unveils Innovative 8-Hour Energy Storage Solution at All Energy Australia

On October 28, HiTHIUM, a prominent player in global energy storage technology, made waves at All Energy Australia in Melbourne by showcasing its groundbreaking ∞Power 6.9MWh battery storage system. This long-duration battery energy storage system (BESS) is designed to provide an 8-hour energy solution, aiming to bolster energy reliability in Australia's evolving market.

Australia's energy landscape is shifting towards more sustainable and flexible solutions, and the demand for long-duration energy storage systems is surging. As federal investments support clean energy projects through initiatives like the Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS), local opportunities for energy storage projects are expanding, particularly for those offering solutions that can store energy for eight hours or more.

During the event, HiTHIUM presented its innovative BESS, optimized for performance during pricing spikes and high-demand periods. With the Australian market experiencing an increase in extended high-price periods—over 70% of scarcity revenue in 2025 derived from events lasting more than four hours—HiTHIUM's technological advancements aim to meet these challenges efficiently. According to analysis from CSIRO GenCost, using two conventional 4-hour systems to achieve the same 8-hour output is estimated to cost 23% more than a dedicated 8-hour system, showcasing a clear economic advantage for HiTHIUM's solution.

The ∞Power 6.9MWh BESS is ingeniously packaged within a standard 20-foot container, delivering over 96% round-trip efficiency and boasting a remarkable 25-year design lifespan. This system not only enhances land use efficiency by reducing land requirements by 15% compared to traditional 4-hour solutions but also lowers the levelized cost of storage (LCOS) through a focus on system optimization. Furthermore, HiTHIUM has developed its technology adhering to NFPA, IEC, and AS safety standards, ensuring robust safety measures are in place.

In addition to its energy storage solutions, HiTHIUM unveiled its Grid Compliance Simulation and Verification Platform, designed to support Australian projects throughout the grid connection process. This platform assists with everything from R0 assessment to R2 model validation, enhancing the likelihood of compliance and mitigating risks associated with late-stage project modifications.

To bolster its local presence, HiTHIUM has established a dedicated service network across Australia. This includes spare parts warehousing, technical training, operational support, and efficient battery recycling services, ensuring customers receive comprehensive assistance throughout the lifecycle of their energy storage projects. At the exhibition, HiTHIUM signed strategic partnerships with local companies like Raystech and Ingeteam to enhance its service infrastructure and safety capabilities.

Additionally, the company announced plans for a new service center in Brisbane, set to open by mid-2027, thereby expanding its regional coverage and providing local customers with improved support.

HiTHIUM didn't stop there; the company also showcased its ∞Power 1022kWh liquid-cooled commercial and industrial energy storage cabinet, which integrates its proprietary LDES cell technology. This innovative design supports a range of applications, such as peak shaving and solar self-consumption. For residential energy needs, HiTHIUM introduced the HeroEE 16 and ARKVOLT F8S series, which allow for flexible deployment and are compatible with solar installations, heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging systems.

Through these advancements in long-duration energy storage technology and a commitment to local services and grid compliance, HiTHIUM is positioning itself as a key player in the Australian energy landscape. The company's efforts are reflective of its dedication to meeting the country's energy storage needs while ensuring integrated solutions and ongoing local support. As Australia continues to evolve its energy policies and practices, innovations from companies like HiTHIUM are pivotal in driving the future of energy storage solutions in the region.
