Asahi Kasei Home Products has launched an exciting initiative to explore the diverse applications of Ziploc®, a product that most people associate primarily with food storage. Titled the “Ziploc® Usage Survey: Yes or No?”, this campaign invites the public to weigh in on various creative uses for Ziploc® that extend far beyond the kitchen. Starting on September 3, 2025, the survey seeks to encourage innovative thinking about Ziploc's role in everyday life.

Traditionally known for preserving food items, Ziploc® is now finding its way into various spheres of life. As people's needs evolve, so do the ways in which they utilize products like Ziploc®. Today's consumers, especially fans of collections and hobbies, are looking for smarter, stylish ways to transport their beloved items. For instance, Ziploc® is increasingly recognized for its convenience in managing collectibles from games, making it ideal for individuals who want to show off their favorite goods while keeping them safe.

To engage the public, the survey provides a platform where users can vote on 20 different proposed scenarios for Ziploc® use that range from everyday tasks to niche applications. Categories include “Hobbyist Culture,” “Collectible Management,” and “Parenting Needs.” Participants can cast their votes on whether they think each proposed use is appropriate or not. The insights gathered from this campaign will help uncover new possibilities for Ziploc®.

In addition to the online survey, Asahi Kasei will host real-world sampling events in Tokyo's Shibuya District, targeting fans of “Hobby” and “Collecting” cultures. Here, participants will receive a free sample pack that includes Ziploc® bags and colorful straps, allowing them to customize their products as fashionable carriers.

The overarching goal of this campaign is to highlight Ziploc®'s versatility and connect with users at a deeper level. The results of this survey will not only reflect public opinion but also pave the way for future applications of Ziploc® products. The survey's results will be published on the dedicated site later on, providing valuable design insights to the developers at Asahi Kasei.

Event Flow:
1. Participants will collect Ziploc® samples and straps at the venue.
2. Vote in the “Ziploc® Usage Survey.”
3. Customize your Ziploc® as a fashionable bag for carrying home.

Note: The event ends when supplies are exhausted.

Social Media Campaign


To further engage participants, a social media campaign will run alongside the survey. Users sharing their voting experiences on “X” (formerly Twitter) with the hashtag #ありなしジップロック, following Asahi Kasei's official account, will have the chance to win exclusive prizes like the GREGORY × Ziploc® × BEAMS COUTURE Daypack and Amazon gift cards.
