Major Renovation of Megane Ichiba at Lalaport Tachikawa Tachihi: Enhancing Accessibility and Experience

Welcoming a New Era at Megane Ichiba

The Megane Ichiba store located at Lalaport Tachikawa Tachihi is gearing up for an impressive renovation, set to reopen on November 21, 2025. This project represents a collaborative effort between Megane Top Co., Ltd, Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd (CCC), and CCCMK Holdings Co., Ltd. With the shared goal of balancing ease of access and creating a fitting experience for customers, this renovation aims to transform the store into a welcoming space for a diverse customer base, from the younger generation to older adults.

Addressing Customer Challenges

One significant challenge faced by the Lalaport Tachikawa Tachihi store was a lower than expected entry rate despite high foot traffic. To resolve this issue, the three companies—Megane Top, CCC, and CCCMKHD—conducted comprehensive analyses of purchasing data from V Points, customer surveys, and traffic observations. This research helped identify factors causing hesitation in entering the store and clarified the experiential values customers sought within the retail space.

Based on these insights, the team reimagined the store design to create an inviting atmosphere where customers can easily browse and find glasses that suit them well.

Renovation Details

Since 2016, Megane Ichiba has partnered with V Points (formerly T Points) to integrate database marketing informed by a range of customer data. This new project, embracing contributions from CCC, aims to craft a next-generation store brand that appeals to a more diverse range of customers. Through rigorous customer data analysis and feedback, along with workshops with store staff, the team distilled the essential offerings of Megane Ichiba, leading to the establishment of the renovation theme: "Finding Glasses That Suit You".

The newly designed space promises a unique experience by utilizing data-driven product selection and collaboration with CCC for store layout, interior design, as well as fixture and POP supervision.

Key Features of the Renovation

1. Product Display Based on Design: To bring the concept of "Finding Glasses That Suit You" to life, rather than organizing products by brand, the store will now showcase them according to design types (e.g., square, Wellington, Boston shapes). This allows customers to easily try on various styles and select products that resonate with their preferences, enhancing their shopping experience.

2. Inviting Space for All: The interior design has shifted from a clean, white aesthetic to a warm, welcoming environment that features wood elements and spacious designs. The goal is to ensure customer comfort while browsing, promoting an enjoyable shopping experience. Additionally, attention to detail in the choice of materials and lighting helps to create a refined atmosphere, contributing to a consistent and focused product selection environment.

Future Developments

Megane Ichiba has always prioritized clarity and brand recognition across its locations, ensuring customers can identify their stores easily regardless of where they are. As they embark on this renovation, the company remains committed to this philosophy while also focusing on the diverse demographics and local characteristics of different regions. The team plans to analyze pre-and post-renovation data from the Tachikawa store to evaluate how customer behaviors change under the new concept of "Finding Glasses That Suit You", guiding their future store designs to meet customer needs effectively.
