Free Online Event: Support for Children's Meal Services
The certified NPO Buddy Team is delighted to announce a free online event titled "Exploring Home-Based Meal Support for Children in Collaboration with Children's Cafés and Food Banks" scheduled for August 2, 2025.
As of recent reports, the number of children's cafeterias across the country exceeds 10,000, with food banks and home meal services expanding their efforts to support children and families. However, a significant challenge that remains is effectively reaching those who truly need assistance.
One proposed solution for addressing this issue involves the integration of "home-visit support" services. This innovative approach aims to directly reach families and children unable to access traditional children's cafés, thereby providing much-needed meal assistance at their doorstep.
During this upcoming event, we aim to shed light on the difficulties families face, as shown by these "community spaces", and the various initiatives offering solutions through home visit support, complete with case studies illustrating potential outcomes.
