Kimuraya Sohonten, a revered name in Japan’s confections, is set to launch a new product range featuring its innovative Temari An Pie, available exclusively at Ginza Mitsukoshi from May 6 to May 12, 2026. This offering brings together traditional Japanese flavors and Western pastry techniques, showcasing the rich heritage of the brand.

The Temari An Pie comes in a delightful variety of five flavors, each crafted with a flaky pie crust made from traditional sake yeast, which provides a unique texture and taste. The fillings are a celebration of both Western and Japanese ingredients, such as sweetened bean paste, honey black bean, and other creative combinations that cater to diverse palates.

1. Koshi (Smooth White Bean Paste)
This version features the characteristic crispy pie crust enveloping smooth white bean paste, finished with a coating reminiscent of cherry blossoms.

A blend of rum-soaked raisins and cheese cream encased in the signature pie crust, topped with white chocolate for an extra touch of sweetness.
