Record Attendance Anticipated for IAA Mobility 2027 as Registrations Open Today

IAA Mobility 2027: A Record-Setting Launch

The registration for IAA Mobility 2027 has officially begun, marking a significant milestone for the international mobility exhibition. The event, set to take place in Munich from September 7 to September 12, 2027, has already witnessed unprecedented interest. Over 100 companies have registered as rebookers prior to the official opening, leading to a potential booking of 53% of all available exhibition space, both in the city center and at the exhibition grounds.

Jürgen Mindel, Managing Director of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry), expresses enthusiasm about the record interest levels. The previous editions have demonstrated that the combined formats of the IAA Summit and IAA Open Space have resonated well within the industry. This approach allows for a closer focus on an interconnected mobility ecosystem rather than merely individual vehicles.

Prominent participants among the pre-registered exhibitors include globally recognized brands such as AUDI, BMW, Ford, Google, and Mercedes-Benz. Each participant brings innovative contributions to the mobility sector, underscoring the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of transportation. Mathias Geisen from Mercedes-Benz stated, "Being part of IAA Mobility resonates with our identity as the inventors of the automobile."

The enthusiasm surrounding the exhibition is not solely reflected in registration numbers. The satisfaction levels among exhibitors have remained significantly high. Recent surveys indicate that 83% of exhibitors who participated in IAA Mobility 2025 would recommend it to others, an increase from 72% from the previous event. Furthermore, the 2025 edition achieved a remarkable 96% positive feedback rating from participants, showcasing the event's value in facilitating strong partnerships and showcasing innovative technology.

The past IAA Mobility 2025 attracted 750 exhibitors from 37 countries, presenting more than 350 world premieres. This strong representation from international participants, which accounted for 57% of total exhibitors, illustrates the global reach and relevance of the event. Visitors from around the world represented 24% of total attendance, highlighting the event’s appeal beyond German borders.

Looking toward the future, the IAA Mobility will remain in Munich through at least 2031, with ongoing partnerships solidifying its status as a premier platform for mobility, sustainability, and technology. As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, events like IAA Mobility serve as critical venues for exchange, collaboration, and innovation. The success of this year’s registration launch only underscores the anticipation for a transformative exhibition in 2027.

In summary, with its early success in registration and positive feedback from participants, IAA Mobility 2027 is poised to be a landmark event in the mobility sector, fostering future innovations and redefining the interconnected nature of transportation. Let the countdown begin!
