Ramen Juubun-ya Returns to Tokyo
After a 5-year hiatus, Ramen Juubun-ya has officially made its much-anticipated comeback to Tokyo's culinary scene! Originally launched in June 2018 in Takadanobaba, the unique ramen chain from Shiga Prefecture revolutionized the ramen industry with its pioneering 'Ramen Scholarship'. Within a short period, it became a beloved dining spot before closing its doors in October 2023 due to staffing challenges.
Now, the beloved brand returns to the Sakura Kamisui area of Setagaya, and fans are rejoicing!
A Growing Legacy
When it first entered Tokyo, Juubun-ya had just seven locations across Japan. Today, it boasts 15 branches nationwide, and with the opening of the Sakura Kamisui location, it becomes the 16th establishment. Their signature dishes, including the celebrated Juubun-ya Ramen, Sodekatsu Ramen, and Yuzu Shoyu Black Ramen, are set to delight patrons once again.
The franchise's commitment to contributing to the local community through its culinary offerings remains steadfast. To celebrate the grand reopening, Juubun-ya is offering an exciting promotion: those who follow their Instagram account will enter a lottery for a chance to win a year of free fried rice!
About Juubun-ya
Founded in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, Juubun-ya began as a small ramen shop. Over the years, the chefs experimented with various recipes until they perfected their chicken paitan ramen. This dish earned them multiple victories at prominent ramen competitions, including a consecutive win at the Kansai Ramen Derby in 2014 and 2015.
The passion for quality ingredients drives their philosophy. Recognizing the local treasures of Shiga Prefecture, the founder sourced special soy sauce from local breweries to craft the ultimate ramen experience.
