Seven-Eleven's Holiday Campaign with Chiikawa
Seven-Eleven Japan, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is set to launch a delightful Christmas campaign in collaboration with the popular character Chiikawa, running from December 2nd at all Seven-Eleven stores nationwide. Leading up to this exciting event, a PR announcement was held on November 28th, featuring marketing executive Noriyuki Okajima, who elaborated on the campaign and the associated products.
During the promotional event, Mr. Okajima articulated the campaign's objectives and strategies. He expressed enthusiasm for the second year of the Chiikawa collaboration, stating,
“We have prepared a fun initiative intended to encourage customers to visit us repeatedly during the Christmas and New Year season - we hope you are looking forward to it.” He further emphasized the current message of
“What’s in store at Seven-Eleven?” reinforcing the brand's objective to become a place of small discoveries and connections for customers in their everyday lives.
Special Appearance by Kasumi Mori in Festive Attire
The atmosphere turned festive with the entrance of special guest Kasumi Mori, who dazzled the audience in a Santa costume. Embracing the holiday spirit, she held a plush Chiikawa toy, which serves as a prize in the character lottery,
Enimai Lottery. The audience was immediately charmed by her delightful appearance.
Mori participated in a fun quiz titled
“Seven-Eleven x Chiikawa Quiz”, successfully answering 2 out of 3 questions, which earned her a chance to taste several products, including
Anmai Double Cream Coppe,
Shisa’s Satapanbin Purple Potato Flavor,
Cheese Granule Toast, and
Strawberry Milk Smoothie. Her tasting commentary vividly conveyed the charms of the collaborative products, particularly emphasizing the distinctive sweet-salty flavor of the Cheese Granule Toast, stating,
“It's delicious... The cheese's saltiness and aroma are present initially, but the sweetness follows, creating an addictive balance. I think it would taste even better when warmed up!” This engaging food report further showcased the delicious offerings in the campaign.
Wish for a Successful Collaboration
Towards the conclusion of the event, a special session was held to decorate a wreath-shaped wish ornament, with hopes for the campaign's success. The memorable moment saw Mori inscribing a wish:
“May the feelings of Chiikawa and friends reach everyone♡” as she adorned a Christmas tree on stage with the ornament. After completing the decorations, she expressed her anticipation for customers to receive the products, highlighting the cute packaging and how it could bring a little joy amidst the busyness of the year-end and New Year season.
