Producers have adjusted their practices to combat the rising heat. Water intake remains paramount, with many reporting a habitual consumption of nearly 2 liters of fluids daily, primarily consisting of barley tea for hydration and salt tablets for replenishing electrolytes lost through sweat. A significant emphasis is placed on wearing protective gear, with common items including sun hats, water bottles, breathable workwear, and air-conditioned clothing, which were noted as the top choices for mitigating heat stress.

Interestingly, the focus in product selection leaned towards functionality over cost. When choosing heatstroke prevention items, producers prioritized durability for extended use (83%) and ease of movement (83%), followed by cooling effects and usability during work hours. Price, although considered, was tagged as less critical than ensuring effective performance during high-stress conditions.

Survey results also highlighted a keen interest in potential new products, with cooling vests and sun-blocking gear being the most desired innovations among farmers.
