On December 15, 2025, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, presided over the inauguration of Al Khail Square at the renowned Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. This development represents a significant step towards fostering the equestrian sector and celebrating its deep-rooted heritage within a modern urban context.

Al Khail Square is designed to be a new lifestyle hub, merging tradition with contemporary living, while prioritizing community wellness and sustainability. Nestled within the lush grounds of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, and surrounded by palatial residences, embassies, and luxury hotels, this project will redefine the experience of life in the UAE capital.

During the launch event, Sheikh Mansour reviewed the master plan for the club and received detailed briefings on the key components of the project. In attendance was His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Junaibi, who is the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and heads the Presidential Protocol and Strategic Narrative Authority. The plans for Al Khail Square include state-of-the-art equestrian facilities, luxurious residential units, modern healthcare services, a variety of commercial and retail spaces, and an exclusive members-only club aimed at providing a world-class experience.

Albert Al Shaiba, the Club's General Director, shared insights into the project's technical scope, implementation phases, and the timeline established for completion. Sheikh Mansour emphasized the project’s embodiment of Abu Dhabi's commitment to horseback riding and its continuous growth. He noted that Al Khail Square would emerge as a hallmark destination that seamlessly combines authenticity with modernity, solidifying Abu Dhabi's status as a leading global center for equestrian activities and horse racing.

Moreover, he highlighted the project's extensive contributions to the urban, sports, and cultural landscape of Abu Dhabi, stressing the importance of adhering to the established timeline to ensure the project meets the highest standards. Al Shaiba reiterated that Al Khail Square would redefine the architectural identity of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, transforming it into an integrated destination that honors its historical legacy while offering a modern lifestyle and premier hospitality.

Founded in 1976 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club has a rich history of hosting significant sports and cultural events in the Emirate. Al Khail Square builds upon this legacy, reinforcing the role of equestrianism in the national identity of the UAE.
