Zoff Emerges as Top Choice for Children's Glasses in Recent Survey

Zoff Excels in Children's Eyewear Survey

In a recent survey targeting parents aged 30 to 50 across Japan, Zoff has secured the top position as the most recommended brand for children's eyewear. This survey was conducted by Justsystem and included over 441 participants, who were asked about their experiences with children’s glasses and after-sales services.

The survey results revealed that 31.8% of parents favored Zoff when asked to name the best brand for purchasing children's glasses. In the same vein, when inquiring about the brand perceived to offer the most comprehensive after-sales service and warranties for children's eyewear, Zoff again emerged victorious with 17.9% of the votes, outperforming other brands in this category. These findings underscore the strong recognition among parents that equates children’s eyewear with Zoff.

Rising Concern for Children's Vision

According to the 2024 school health statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Education, about 36.84% of elementary school students have a visual acuity of less than 1.0. The number rises alarmingly to approximately 60.61% for junior high school students and 71.06% for high school students. This trend indicates a concerning decline in vision acuity among younger generations, making children's eyewear a critical concern for both children and their parents.

Insights from the Survey

The survey titled "Children's Eyewear Survey" conducted from February 18 to 27, 2025, via the internet, sought to understand various aspects concerning children's eyewear among parents. Participating parents expressed a range of concerns regarding their children's eyewear choices. The top concern was that children’s prescriptions change quickly, capturing 27.2% of the responses. Following this, parents showed interest in understanding service and warranty details along with the variety of eyewear options available.

Interestingly, parents also reported feelings of uncertainty regarding choosing glasses for their children. Many voiced the need for clear information on how to select appropriate eyewear for their kids, as well as concerns about children rejecting wearing glasses altogether or struggling with fit and comfort.

Major Concerns Identified in the Survey

1. Quick Changes in Prescription - 27.2%
2. Understanding Services and Warranties - 25.5%
3. Knowledge of Product Selection - 20.7%

Other concerns included issues like children often taking off their glasses, the search for affordable options, and worries about the weight and inconvenience of eyewear for kids.

With an eye on maintaining its leadership in the children's eyewear market, Zoff aims to continue addressing these concerns effectively. The brand understands that as eyesight issues rise among the younger population, it becomes imperative to establish trust with the families who depend on their services and products.
