Exploring Ibaraki's Enchanting Tourism Projects
Ibaraki Prefecture is excited to announce the launch of the "Ibaraki Next Tourism" initiative for 2025, which builds upon the legacy of the last year’s destination campaign. This new series of projects, termed "Gem Projects," focuses on showcasing unique aspects of the region including its stunning floral displays and immersive experiences, and they are now available for reservation both domestically and internationally.
Special Highlights of the “Gem Projects”
The third edition of the "Gem Projects" is set to coincide with the upcoming "130th Anniversary Mito Plum Blossom Festival" in February 2026. This offering features a special accommodation plan that allows visitors to enjoy the illuminated beauty of Kenrokuen Park through the event "UME The Lights 2026". Notably, guests will also experience a luxurious stay at the recently opened "Izura Yuukou Onsen" (Idzura Hidden Valley Hot Springs), which is adjacent to the delightful TeamLab art installation, offering an extraordinary blend of nature and artistry.
