Florida Realtors® Launches Scholarship Program for Aspiring Students in Real Estate

Florida Realtors® Launches Scholarship Program

Florida Realtors® has announced the opening of its coveted Student Scholarship Program, inviting applications from students pursuing careers in real estate. If you have children in college or about to finish high school, especially those interested in entering the real estate field, this program could be a significant opportunity. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is set for March 6, 2026, at noon.

Since its inception 16 years ago, the scholarship program has provided nearly $3 million in funding, benefiting 2,203 students across Florida. This initiative is backed by the Florida Realtors® Education Foundation Inc., a dedicated non-profit organization focused on providing education-related scholarships.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarships are accessible to students with specific eligibility criteria:
  • - Children whose parents are Realtors or licensed real estate practitioners.
  • - Students whose parents work for a local Realtor board/association or for Florida Realtors®.
  • - Florida resident students currently enrolled in an educational institution, junior colleges, or universities, including those being homeschooled or attending charter schools.

Eligible candidates include:
  • - Any high school senior in Florida planning to attend college
  • - Current undergraduate students from Florida studying any major
  • - Graduate students who are Florida residents.

Note: Applicants must express the intent to return to work in Florida upon graduation and provide proof of residency.

Application Requirements

To apply, students need to complete an online application form through the Florida Realtors® website. The required documents include:
  • - A paragraph or two outlining their leadership skills
  • - A valid Florida driver’s license or government ID confirming residency
  • - Transcripts from the last three years of schooling
  • - Three reference letters on school letterhead (including one personal reference and two from teachers or school administrators)
  • - An acceptance letter from the college or university they plan to attend in fall 2026.

Scholarships start at $1,000, with varying amounts and numbers awarded yearly based on the evaluations by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Criteria for selection focus on academic achievements, financial need, community involvement, and demonstrated leadership qualities.

Important Notes

It’s crucial for applicants to remember that the Florida Realtors Education Foundation Scholarship application is exclusively available online; no mailed or faxed applications will be accepted. Only submissions through the official website will be considered viable for review.
