A significant number of respondents report a current annual income in the range of "3 million yen or less" and "4.01 million to 5 million yen." However, their desired salary indicates practicality, with the most common expectation being "3.01 million to 4 million yen."

Whereas students and those above 40 were concerned mainly about the selection criteria, younger professionals focused more on timing related to employment changes. Research Methodology


The survey, conducted on August 8, 9, and 12, 2025, targeted attendees at job fairs across Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. Out of 359 participants, 303 completed the questionnaire, providing substantial insights into their perspectives and experiences.

Participant Demographics


Respondents hailed predominantly from Kanto with 163 individuals, followed by 103 from Kansai and 37 from Tokai. The age distribution showed that 154 were students, while others included those aged in their 20s to over 40. Employment status varied from current professionals, those unemployed, and students entering the job market.

Qualifications


Regarding qualifications, over 300 responses were tallied, revealing that 125 individuals had passed at least one exam, while 104 were awaiting results for tax qualifications.
