Raytron OEM Unveils Advanced Infrared Imaging Technology at VISION 2026 for Industrial Automation

Raytron OEM Unveils Advanced Infrared Imaging Solutions

Raytron OEM made a significant impression at the VISION 2026 trade fair held in Stuttgart, Germany, from October 6 to 8, where they showcased their state-of-the-art short-wave infrared (SWIR) cameras and long-wave infrared (LWIR) thermal imaging modules. This presentation highlighted their commitment to providing practical infrared components designed to enhance industrial automation and machine vision applications for local manufacturers and integrators.

During the event, attendees could experience hands-on demonstrations featuring the SWIR technology's capabilities, which notably distinguished between sugar and salt as well as comparing dry and wet biscuit samples. Such demonstrations showcased the various use cases of infrared imaging in fields such as material differentiation, food sorting, and moisture detection, further illustrating the technology's versatility.

Among the standout products was the NS-615AS-10GE SWIR camera which boasts a resolution of 640 × 512 pixels and is equipped with a 10GigE interface. It supports high-speed full-frame operation at a remarkable rate of up to 825 frames per second. This capability makes it especially suitable for demanding tasks like semiconductor inspection and material sorting. Alongside this, the exhibition also featured the NS-615A-GE area-scan SWIR camera and the NS-101L2 line-scan SWIR camera, catering to diverse automated vision setups with their varying acquisition formats and interface options.

For clients integrating thermal imaging into their own systems, the SE5 1280 thermal imaging module offers a resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixels, a compact design, and multiple digital interfaces, making it a flexible choice. Moreover, the WN2T Series temperature measurement modules provide non-contact temperature measurement capabilities while maintaining compact dimensions and low power consumption. These products offer OEM developers reliable options to incorporate thermal imaging and temperature analytics into their inspection and monitoring tasks.

During the event, Mr. Fushuai Liu, the Head of Europe and Americas at Raytron, presented a compelling talk titled "How Infrared Perception Is Shaping Industrial Machine Vision in Europe." This session, part of the Industrial VISION Days, drew insights from the Raytron EV Lithium-ion Battery Thermal Safety White Paper, focusing on critical aspects like battery safety, process quality, and traceability within the framework of the EU Battery Regulation.

In his presentation, Mr. Liu discussed a three-layer Thermal Vision framework, which combines thermal imaging hardware, data analysis and management, with integration into existing plant control and safety systems. Practical applications included the TN460U Ultra-high Temperature Thermal Camera designed for battery safety testing and the TN430/TN460 online thermal cameras for monitoring die-casting mold temperatures. This multi-faceted approach supports continuous monitoring, tiered alert systems, and traceable thermal records across various stages of battery production, testing, and storage, empowering European manufacturers to proactively identify potential issues and enhance site safety management.

Through the demonstrations and technical exchanges that took place during VISION 2026, Raytron OEM solidified its commitment to enhance European industrial automation with infrared solutions tailored to meet the specific inspection and monitoring needs of the industry. This event not only showcased technological advancements but also fostered collaborations that promise to drive innovation in the automation landscape.
