New Arrivals in Adidas Originals' Low-Profile Series
Adidas Japan K.K., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, has announced exciting additions to its popular Low-Profile sneaker series under the street sportswear brand Adidas Originals. Set for a full launch in the Spring/Summer 2025 season, new colors such as "TAEKWONDO" and "TOKYO" will hit stores from June 19, 2025. Additionally, a new model named "GAZELLE LOPRO" is expected to be available starting in early August 2025.
The campaign visuals showcase Yamazaki Ten, a member of the popular idol group Sakurazaka46, sporting the new color "TAEKWONDO" along with the fresh "GAZELLE LOPRO" model. Her styling highlights the unique appeal of the low-profile silhouette, making it a prominent choice for fashion-forward individuals.
The classic Gazelle model has been reimagined with a low-profile design, now branded as "GAZELLE LOPRO." Originally recognized as a training shoe, the Gazelle has evolved over the years, becoming an essential lifestyle shoe with its sleek and sophisticated aesthetic. Featuring a comfortable rubber outsole, the signature details include serrated three stripes and a heel tab that stand out beautifully.
Inspired by martial arts, the slip-on shoes "TAEKWONDO" in a striking green color will also be making their debut. Paying homage to the early 2000s slip-on design, these shoes utilize soft leather and showcase a minimalist approach for comfort that hugs the foot snugly.
Moreover, the previously popular "JAPAN" model has received an update with a metallic leather upper. This sneaker is crafted to meet the discerning tastes of retro style lovers, echoing the design elements of 1960s footwear. Featuring a metallic leather upper and double-stitch T-toe, the new look adds a unique flair that sets it apart from past iterations of the JAPAN model.
Finally, the versatile "TOKYO" sneaker is rooted in 70s fashion, offering comfortable wearability. This model, updated from a suede upper to a smooth leather and synthetic material upper, exudes a retro vibe enhanced by its thin silhouette, making it a relevant choice even in contemporary fashion.
