Announcing the Star and Sun Market 2026

The much-anticipated Star and Sun Market is set to take place this July, following the successful debut of the Tokyo Night Market which has captivated audiences since its initial launch in 2023. This event has quickly evolved into a staple of Tokyo’s nightlife, building excitement and drawing attention across television and social media platforms.

The last Tokyo Night Market, held in May, gained extensive coverage from major media outlets such as Nippon TV, TV Asahi, and various influencer posts on Instagram and TikTok. The event attracted a diverse crowd, including both local and international visitors, enhancing its reputation among tourists and loyal fans alike.

A Talent-Rich Live Stage

This year’s live performances will feature a remarkable array of artists, including the acclaimed Pia-no-jaC, known for their stunning instrumental shows, and the pop band Friends, who proudly represent the Shibuya Shin-Sen scene. Additionally, the energetic percussion group LA SEÑAS will be returning, alongside other artists from genres like soul and Latin music, promising a transcendent musical experience that crosses borders.

Exciting DJ Booths

Throughout the event, select clubs from Shibuya will take over the DJ booth to curate each time slot. Not only will partygoers enjoy a vibrant atmosphere during the main event, but there are also plans for post-event after-parties at participating DJ venues.

Enchanting Street Performances

In a new initiative for this season, there will be engaging street performances, including a statue performance that promises to bring the market’s artistic theme to life. Attendees can expect a variety of talents showcasing their skills throughout the venue, further enriching the market’s immersive experience.

Delectable Cuisine

An ever-popular facet of the market, the culinary offerings will expand this year with over 30 unique booths featuring sophisticated urban gourmet food. Alongside fan-favorites like steak and pizza, guests can savor a wide array of delectable options, such as tantalizing tacos, scrumptious burgers, and refreshing desserts to help beat the summer heat.
