ChangAn Automobile Expands its Horizons in Smart Mobility



On March 21, 2025, ChangAn Automobile unveiled its impressive advancements in sustainable and intelligent driving technologies at a brand launch event held in Germany. The establishment of Dubhe Plan 2.0 marks a significant evolution in ChangAn's commitment to smart low-carbon vehicle technology, designed to meet the increasing demand for eco-friendly travel solutions across Europe.

Since the introduction of Dubhe Plan 1.0 in 2018, ChangAn has consistently led the way in developing intelligent transportation solutions. The initial phase saw remarkable achievements, including 100% connectivity for new models, integration of advanced driver assistance systems, and the attainment of L3 autonomous driving certification in China. The company also introduced voice control features through its intelligent assistant, XiaoAn, which has gained traction with 4.68 million users.

With Dubhe Plan 2.0, ChangAn aims for breakthroughs in intelligent driving, smart networking, and user interaction. The company envisions vehicles equipped with artificial intelligence that intuitively understand user needs, striving to democratize access to smart mobility technologies. Their latest solid-state battery, developed and tested in China, offers up to 400 Wh/kg energy density, supporting ranges exceeding 1500 km with a full charge. This innovation is complemented by AI-based remote diagnostics that increase safety by 70%, mitigating risks associated with traditional liquid batteries.

The functional prototype of the solid-state battery is expected to debut by the end of the year, with intentions to commence installation and trials in 2026, followed by mass production projected for 2027. Furthermore, ChangAn has devised a pioneering central ring network architecture based on Software-Defined Access (SDA), which is already in mass production and launched with the CHANG-AN E07 model.

Backed by a global R&D team consisting of 13,000 experts from over 30 countries, ChangAn is at the forefront of integrating advanced technologies into its vehicles, paving the way for intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions on a worldwide scale. The recent event also showcased the European debut of the ChangAn DEEPAL S07, demonstrating cutting-edge features engineered to enhance comfort, safety, and user experience. This model features a 15.6-inch adjustable touchscreen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an augmented reality (AR-HUD) display.

Safety is further enhanced with a 360-degree camera, a driving recorder, and a transparent display unit. Additionally, intuitive gesture recognition and customizable scene modes create an accessible user interface.
