PenFed Foundation Hosts Veteran Entrepreneur Program Incubator in Tysons, Virginia

PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes Launches Entrepreneur Program

The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes is excited to announce the upcoming Veteran Entrepreneur Program incubator happening from June 17 to 19 in Tysons, Virginia. This innovative program seeks to empower early-stage veteran entrepreneurs by providing them with mentorship, practical training, and the necessary resources to transform their business ideas into reality.

This three-day intensive incubator experience will engage participants with in-person instruction, networking opportunities, and a solid framework aimed at preparing them for success. Beginning with foundational training, the program will subsequently transition to six weeks of virtual learning, providing continuous support for budding entrepreneurs who are eager to refine their concepts or early prototypes.

A Program for Current Veterans and Military Spouses

The initiative is particularly designed for veterans or military spouses who possess a commitment to entrepreneurship and wish to explore their business ideas further. However, to be eligible, participants must reside in the Tysons area or be willing to commute, as travel costs will not be covered by the program.

Retired U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Terry Williams, the Director of the Veteran Entrepreneur Program, expressed pride in leading this initiative. He stated, "As a local organization, we are honored to assist the veterans in our community as they transition from military service to entrepreneurship. This incubator meets founders where they are at, equipping them with the guidance they need, while also building upon the resilience, adaptability, and quick thinking they already bring to the table."

Application Process

For veterans or military spouses interested in joining the Veteran Entrepreneur Program incubator, detailed information about eligibility criteria and application deadlines can be found on the PenFed Foundation website (https://penfedfoundation.org/our-programs/vep/). Positive changes happen when veterans are empowered to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, and the PenFed Foundation aims to be a crucial catalyst in this journey.
