New Ventures in Animal Health
In an exciting development for the animal health sector, Plug and Play Topeka, in association with GO Topeka, has unveiled its latest cohort of nine innovative startups dedicated to enhancing pet care and health. This initiative marks the ninth such program hosted in Topeka, Kansas, within the world's largest concentration of animal health companies.
The selected startups come from a diverse range of countries, including the U.S., Turkey, Sweden, Singapore, China, and Germany, emphasizing the global nature of innovation in this industry. These companies have been chosen for their focus on various aspects of animal health, such as diagnostics, therapeutics, food safety, and novel ingredient development. The accelerator program will span 18 weeks and features a variety of opportunities, including pitching sessions, mentorship from industry leaders, comprehensive workshops on business development, and collaborations among cohort members.

ChemCode (Ankara, Turkey) - A frontline innovator, ChemCode has developed a portable food safety system addressing food loss due to mycotoxins, a significant issue costing the industry billions.

Green-On (Gothenburg, Sweden) - Pioneering sustainable practices, Green-On creates edible oils that do not rely on traditional agriculture, promoting eco-friendly production methods.

Hoomanely (Palo Alto, CA) - Specializing in preventive pet care, Hoomanely focuses on precision health strategies to extend the lives of pets.

NE Innovations Pte Ltd (Singapore) - This startup introduces a sustainable antimicrobial technology derived from food waste, heralding a new approach to pet hygiene and health.

Pet Portal AI (Woodland Hills, CA) - Leveraging AI, Pet Portal AI provides guidance on pet health and nutrition, offering vital support to pet owners to enhance their pets’ wellbeing.

In addition to these startups, companies like RSLNT and testblu diagnostics have also been selected, further diversifying the innovations being pursued in the animal health sphere. RSLNT stands out with its focus on functional ingredients bypassing traditional supply chains, while testblu diagnostics offers crucial liquid biopsy testing for early cancer detection in dogs.
