Bob He, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power, emphasized during his keynote address that AI data centers are transitioning into true “data processing factories.” This shift is powered by the exponential growth of AI computing capabilities. To facilitate efficient and reliable energy transmission from power grids to microchips, simplification of conversion links is vital. Furthermore, rethinking energy architecture innovations is essential to keep pace with the dynamic service requirements of AI applications.

In addition, effective thermal management can greatly benefit from an adaptable hybrid architecture that switches between air and liquid cooling, aligning with the changing demands of AI services. The infrastructure for these AI data centers must be designed with inherent AI readiness, turning the unpredictability traditionally associated with data center design into proactive solutions geared towards prefabrication and build volume.

Reputable forecasts suggest that, within the next five years, the power of newly established AI data centers will peak at 112 gigawatts.

To address emerging challenges involving security, delivery, IT evolution, and energy consumption in an intelligent computing environment, Huawei has released RAS guidelines specific to the construction of AI data centers.

Thanks to continual technological and architectural innovations, Huawei offers comprehensive AI data center solutions featuring benchmarked designs for all scenarios, alongside highly reliable products and an extensive global ecosystem. Additionally, it presents design recommendations across four critical dimensions: architectural structure, power supply/distribution, cooling methods, and integrated cabling, thereby offering diverse reference design solutions tailored to a range of power density needs.
