Chef Robotics Secures $43M Series A Funding to Accelerate AI Robotics in Meal Assembly



San Francisco, March 31, 2025 – Chef Robotics, a pioneer in AI-driven robotic systems for meal preparation, has successfully raised $43.1 million in a Series A funding round. This capital infusion, which comprises $20.6 million in equity and $22.5 million as equipment financing debt, marks a significant milestone for the company as it enhances its deployment capabilities and supports its innovative Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.

The funding round was primarily led by Avataar Ventures, attracting a range of investors including Construct Capital, Bloomberg Beta, and Promus Ventures, among others. With this round, Chef Robotics has now accumulated a total capital of $65.6 million, combining equity and equipment financing with Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank.

Since its inception, Chef Robotics has rapidly established itself as the frontrunner in the food robotics sector, achieving over 44 million meals produced through its robotic systems. The company boasts notable collaborations with leading food brands such as Amy's Kitchen and Sunbasket, allowing them to dominate the market by asset utilization and Cradle-to-Grave data collection.

Data gathered from each meal prepared using their robotic systems plays a crucial role in refining AI algorithms, ensuring higher efficiency and adaptability in meal production.
