This restaurant is a branch of the highly acclaimed ‘Uo Uo’ originally established in Kawasaki in 2018. The grand opening is scheduled for July 28, 2025, promising an exciting experience for seafood enthusiasts and sake lovers alike.
The Journey of ‘Uo Uo’
Founded by Akira Kikuchi, the server of ‘Uo Uo’ in Kawasaki is a testament to the flavors of charcoal-grilled cuisine. The restaurant has quickly gained popularity among patrons of various ages, and now boasts four locations. The new Gotanda branch is brought to life through the dedication of Taku Yoshida from Sunbishitto Co., Ltd. who has trained under the original establishment to ensure the authentic taste of ‘Uo Uo’ is preserved.
A Culinary Delight
At ‘Sengyo to Robatayaki Uo Uo’, guests can look forward to a curated menu featuring selected ingredients grilled over authentic binchotan charcoal from Kochi Prefecture. This cooking method allows for even heat distribution, resulting in moist and succulent fish that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. Signature dishes include the massive charcoal-grilled mackerel, standing at around 30cm long, which is a favorite among patrons.
