Experience Fukushima's Marine Delicacies at Pasar Ransetsu
Starting from February 20 to March 1, 2026, Pasar Ransetsu's event space will host the inaugural
Joban Grand Fish Market, featuring a delightful selection of seafood products from Fukushima's coastal region. The event is part of the
Fukushima Mirai Challenge Project, aimed at expanding the market reach of 15 municipalities in the Hamadori area.
The event will showcase various delicacies, including products brought to the fair by students from Fukushima Prefectural Onahama Marine High School. The students will sell frozen tuna harvested during their marine studies, highlighting the delicious offerings such as
Fukushima Maru Yellowfin Tuna Cut and
Yellowfin Tuna Tartare. These products are known for their rich taste and are perfect for home enjoyment! Additionally, you can indulge in snacks like the
Packing Snack CUBE fish cakes and the
Grilled Mehikari Fish Cake, both great options for a quick bite on the road.
Also featured will be a variety of processed foods from local businesses, including
Kawamata Shamo Chicken Curry, a rich and flavorful curry featuring chicken from the Kawamata area, and sauces made with South Soma-grown peppers. This diverse selection ensures there's something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a hearty meal or a savory snack.
The Joban Grand Fish Market won't just be about shopping; it's also an opportunity to taste the local flavors of Fukushima. Attendees will be able to sample popular items such as
Flavored Octopus Snacks in various flavors, including
Secret Soy Sauce, Spicy New Flavor, and
Secret Plum Vinegar. Don't miss the chance to try the
Flatfish and Seaweed Seafood Bowl, ensuring that you know exactly what you are taking home.
Special Offers for Visitors
To make the event even more exciting, customers who spend 1,000 yen or more at the fair will receive a special gift. Furthermore, if you mention that you saw the event on social media while purchasing at the venue, you will receive an additional product at no charge.
