Starting from November 19 until November 30, 2025, Saza Coffee, headquartered in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will host the "Castella Shortcake Strawberry Revival Festival." In this limited-time event, the beloved Castella Shortcake, featuring locally sourced strawberries from Ibaraki Prefecture, makes a grand return! Known for using premium ingredients, including Okukuji eggs, this cake remains a customer favorite.

The Castella Shortcake will be offered in exclusive sets for both eat-in and take-out. During the festival, various Saza Coffee locations—such as the main store, Katsuta Station front store, Oarai store, Mito Station store, and others—will cater to customers eager for this delightful treat.

The Essence of Saza's Castella Shortcake

The Castella Shortcake from Saza Coffee is a unique creation, utilizing authentic Castella sponge cake made entirely from Okukuji eggs, which are known for their richness and flavor. These eggs play a critical role in achieving the cake's deliciousness.
