Jennifer Winters, assistant vice president of Value Based Care at Affinia Healthcare, spoke of the challenges previously faced due to inefficient connectivity with interpreters. “We found that the AI interpreter app was really beneficial for our front desk staff, who were previously struggling to efficiently connect patients with interpreters,” she stated. The app has significantly expedited the registration, pharmacy, and care processes, enhancing the overall patient experience.

Patel concluded, “AI interpretation is a proven, viable option to improve engagement across the LEP patient's healthcare journey, especially in non-clinical, administrative applications.” The ability to deliver mobile AI interpreting, accompanied by in-person, telephone, and video options, not only improves patient-clinician relationships but also significantly reduces the overall costs associated with language services.
