Fender Custom Shop Unveils Exclusive Deck O' Cards Collection of Stratocasters

Fender Custom Shop Launches the Deck O' Cards Collection

On May 1, 2025, the Fender Flagship Tokyo will proudly showcase and sell the Deck O' Cards Collection, an extraordinary array of art guitars inspired by the intricate designs of playing cards. This exclusive collection features four unique Stratocasters, crafted by a team of exceptional master builders and the renowned artist Pamelina H. Each guitar resonates with artistic mastery, combining superb craftsmanship with captivating visuals.

A Unique Collaboration

The creation of the Deck O' Cards Collection represents a unique collaboration between four highly skilled master builders: Paul Waller, David Brown, Andy Hicks, and Austin McNutt. Pamelina H's artistic touches bring a vibrant life to each piece. Each guitar reflects a distinct playing card motif—Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds— marrying the world of music with high art.

Paul Waller, Senior Master Builder, expressed his excitement about the collaboration: "At the time David, Austin, and Andy joined, I was eager to initiate a project with them. Pamelina and I were brainstorming ideas for the Deck O' Cards Stratocaster, which intuitively felt perfect for our collective talents. Together, we selected card themes, collaborating closely on the designs, resulting in an unprecedented collection that is both visually stunning and playable."

Exceptional Craftsmanship

Every model within the collection showcases premium materials and innovative design features. The guitar bodies are constructed from carefully selected two-piece alder, finished with a WLS undercoat of urethane, enhancing both aesthetics and playability. The necks are expertly crafted from one-piece maple, incorporating a 'V' shape reminiscent of 1957, ensuring a comfortable playing experience.

The collection is equipped with hand-wound ‘69 single-coil pickups, designed by legendary master winder Josefina Campos, delivering a clear, balanced tone. Players will find the guitars' versatility complemented by a five-position switch and modern wiring, offering a rich variety of sound options.

Adding to the allure is the vintage-style synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles, equipped with a custom art pickguard and chrome skirt knobs—further detailing that enhances the artistic narrative of the collection. To complete the package, each set includes a custom hard shell case, a specially crafted leather strap, and a certificate of authenticity from the Custom Shop, ensuring that these pieces are not only instruments but also valuable works of art.

A Legacy in Every String

The Deck O' Cards Collection intertwines the passionate craftsmanship of Fender Custom Shop's builders with Pamelina H's creative vision, resulting in a truly special collection that stands as a new legend for Fender. Each guitar is not just a musical instrument; it represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship, art, and performance. These collectible Stratocasters embody the spirit of playability and artistry.

Mark your calendars for this unique opportunity to experience the Deck O' Cards Collection at Fender Flagship Tokyo. This event promises to provide not only a glimpse of exceptional artistry but also the chance to own a piece of music history.
