Yoshinoya and Bari-Ma Collaboration: A Delicious New Offering
On October 17, 2023, Yoshinoya Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, announced an exciting new collaboration with the Hiroshima-based ramen brand, Bari-Ma, operated by its group company, WithLink Inc. This collaboration marks the first joint product, the "Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Beef Hot Pot Set," priced at 818 yen (899 yen including tax for dine-in, 883 yen for takeout). Available in Yoshinoya locations nationwide (some exclusions apply), this new dish promises to delight customers seeking both flavor and value.
Alongside this, Yoshinoya will also reintroduce the beloved "Gyusuki Nabezen" which features juicy slices of gyusuki beef, priced similarly at 818 yen.
The New Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Beef Hot Pot Set
The "Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Beef Hot Pot Set" follows Yoshinoya's winter trend of delightful hot pot dishes. It draws inspiration from Bari-Ma’s signature that has become synonymous with rich, flavorful ramen. The special broth is created by slowly simmering both pork bones and chicken carcasses, achieving a creamy, rich sauce layered with the delicious depth of soy sauce. This hot pot includes generous slices of beef, alongside veggies such as Napa cabbage, green onion, pea shoots, carrots, silky tofu, and kishimen noodles.
To elevate the experience, the dish comes with a special "Garlic Heavy Sauce" made from a blend of fried garlic, grated garlic, and chopped garlic—equivalent to roughly one clove. Customers can also enjoy free refills on rice and pickles, ensuring the meal is both satisfying and customizable.
Gyusuki Nabezen — A Yoshinoya Classic
The "Gyusuki Nabezen" features ample portions of beef sukiyaki, prepared with the same dedication to quality seen in Yoshinoya's famous gyudon. This dish includes high-quality beef, Napa cabbage, green onion, pea shoots, carrots, silky tofu, and kishimen, all simmered together in a specially crafted sukiyaki sauce. Pairing it with rice, pickles, and an egg, it is perfectly designed for a fulfilling dining experience.
The sauce contains the three main umami components: kombu (glutamic acid), katsuobushi (inosinic acid), and shiitake mushrooms (guanylic acid), enhancing the beef's natural flavor—the result is a rich, aromatic dish that feels luxurious and hearty.
Limited Edition Hot Pot Broth for Home Enjoyment
In addition to the cafeteria offerings, Yoshinoya has introduced a winter limited-time product available for home cooking: "Bari-Ma's Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Nabe Soup (750g) and" Senkichi’s Curry Nabe Soup (750g). These broths are now available via Yoshinoya's official online shop and other e-commerce platforms.
The "Bari-Ma's Tonkotsu Soy Sauce Nabe Soup" offers a tasting experience that’s both thick and rich with flavor, making it irresistibly delicious. For a finishing touch, customers can add piping hot ramen for a taste akin to a tonkotsu soy sauce ramen or use it to make a creamy rice porridge by mixing in rice and egg.
A Commitment to Quality and Community
Yoshinoya emphasizes delivering authentic flavors while catering to the everyday life of their customers, striving to provide them with the values of "delicious, affordable, and fast" food. The partnership with Bari-Ma is a significant milestone, combining both brands’ strengths to enhance their respective brand values and promote innovative dining options.
