Kids in Tech Announces Second Annual "Pathways to Success" Dinner & Awards

Kids in Tech, a dedicated nonprofit organization, is thrilled to reveal its upcoming second annual "Pathways to Success" Dinner and Awards, set for May 8, 2025, at Garage B Events in Boston, Massachusetts. This much-anticipated evening begins at 6:00 PM and aims to recognize outstanding contributions in the realm of STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

During this inspiring event, attendees will be brought together to celebrate the vital efforts of educators, community leaders, and partners who have been instrumental in fulfilling Kids in Tech's mission to enhance children's learning and empower them with essential tech skills. According to Ryan Callahan, the Board Chair of Kids in Tech, "The 'Pathways to Success' event represents our commitment to bridging the opportunity gap in technology education." He emphasized that the event goes beyond recognition; it's about investing in the future workforce and ensuring that every child has access to learn the skills required to thrive in the modern economy.

This year, awards will be distributed to several notable entities, including Frederic T. Greenhalge Elementary School in Lowell, Life Science Cares, and Collegium Pharmaceuticals, highlighting their contributions to advancing STEAM education amongst youth. The organization is making significant progress in equipping children with the necessary tools to navigate future challenges in the fast-growing STEAM job market.

Networking Opportunities

This event will also serve as a platform for networking, allowing connections between corporate leaders, educators, and philanthropists.

Olu Ibrahim, the Founder and Executive Director of Kids in Tech, expressed his excitement about celebrating the year’s achievements: "We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible impact our partners and students have made this past year. This event not only recognizes their achievements but also helps us continue expanding our reach to empower more young minds with essential tech skills."

The inaugural dinner in 2024 saw a wonderful turnout and raised over $50,000 in support of Kids in Tech programming. Building on that momentum, the organization anticipates an even larger crowd this year, looking forward to welcoming sponsors, community leaders, and participants from various programs.

Since its inception in 2016, Kids in Tech has positively impacted over 8,945 youths. The organization has set an ambitious goal: to serve 10,000 children annually by 2028. Monies raised during the "Pathways to Success" event will bolster the expansion of the After-School Tech Clubs, Kids in Tech's flagship program, which delivers free STEAM education to children aged 8-14 from schools in Lowell, Somerville, and Boston.

Tickets for this landmark event are available for purchase now, with the RSVP deadline set for April 24, 2025. Interested individuals can buy tickets or explore sponsorship opportunities by visiting Kids in Tech's Pathways to Success page.
