Clearspeed Welcomes Laurie Babinski as New General Counsel Amid Growth

In a significant move to bolster its leadership team, Clearspeed, a frontrunner in voice-based risk assessment technology, has announced the appointment of Laurie Babinski as its General Counsel. Babinski's extensive background in legal and executive leadership within both public and private technology sectors positions her as a key asset to the company.

A Promising Career Ahead

Laurie Babinski, who brings nearly two decades of experience in the legal field, has held pivotal roles that have shaped her into a proficient executive. Prior to joining Clearspeed, Babinski operated as General Counsel at IonQ, where she not only managed the legal organization but also provided vital advice to the executive leadership and board on corporate governance and strategic transactions. Her previous tenure includes over six years at Credit Karma, serving in various legal leadership roles, and she began her journey in private practice at BakerHostetler.

Babinski's academic credentials add to her qualifications—holding a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a bachelor's degree in journalism and Spanish from Pepperdine University.

Supporting Growth Strategies

Alex Martin, CEO and co-founder of Clearspeed, emphasized the importance of Babinski's appointment, stating, "Laurie has built an impressive career advising technology companies through important moments of growth and transformation. Her experience, judgment, and collaborative leadership style make her an ideal fit for Clearspeed as we continue executing on our long-term vision of enabling trusted decisions."

Babinski's role as General Counsel will primarily focus on navigating Clearspeed’s strategic directions and supporting the expansion of its public sector and defense businesses, as the company has recently established a primary office in Washington, D.C.
