Woodland Direct Expands Presence with New Warehouse in Reno, NV

Woodland Direct, an e-commerce leader in fire products, has recently announced the opening of a new distribution center in Reno, located in the state of Nevada. The facility spans a significant 47,000 square feet and marks the company's commitment to improving customer experiences, particularly for those on the West Coast.

This move is part of a broader strategy by Woodland Direct to enhance logistic efficiencies and reduce shipping times for its growing customer base. President and Founder Andrew Ingram emphasized the importance of this new site, stating, "We already ship all around the country. By opening the Reno distribution center, we're able to serve our West Coast customers more quickly and efficiently."

The exploration for this second distribution center began in late 2025, demonstrating Woodland Direct’s proactive approach to expanding its operational capacities. In collaboration with logistics consultants, the company determined that a site west of the Rocky Mountains would allow for better service coverage. The strategic location of Reno and its proximity to key markets makes it an ideal choice for this expansion.

Alongside the opening of the new facility, Woodland Direct has utilized local contractors for various operations, including Engineered Solutions, Teledata Technologies, and WTR Electrical. This decision not only supports local businesses but also strengthens community ties. Furthermore, key personnel, including Gunnar Bennethum, the senior manager of supply chain operations, and Warehouse Assistant Wesley Davey, are relocating from the company’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, to oversee the new operations in Reno.

In order to streamline their processes and boost operational efficiency, the Reno distribution center will be equipped with industry-standard software, NetSuite. Bennethum noted, "This will be a new milestone for Woodland that will improve our inventory accuracy and allow our sales team to have better visibility of product availability."

This investment in the Reno facility signals Woodland Direct's commitment to continuous improvement and exceptional customer service. It also reinforces their innovative approach to e-commerce in the home and outdoor living markets. The Reno distribution center will officially commence operations in September and is expected to be a game changer for the company’s logistics capabilities.
